Food dont starve together guide10/29/2023 While I believe that Ice Boxes are essential, especially for multiplayer Don’t Starve Together servers, I don’t think Ice Boxes are particularly useful in single-player Don’t Starve. While you might think Ice Flingomatics in your base will be good enough, sometimes players will leave Ice Flingomatics unfueled, ultimately leaving your base vulnerable to fires. I’ve had to reconstruct our Ice Boxes about 4 times in the past 2 weeks on our public server, simply because the Deerclops targetted the Ice Boxes first and players froze or didn’t know what to do. Mobs can quickly destroy an entire base, especially when it’s the Deerclops, Bearger, or red Fire Hounds. Players need to make sure that whenever they hear Hounds or terrifying seasonal giants approaching that they move away from their base. While Ice Boxes will do a great job preserving your food, Ice Boxes can still be destroyed and will often be one of the first targets the Deerclops breaks during its Winter reign. The Ice Box will also store Ice indefinitely, meaning that once you’re comfortable with how much Ice you have, usually after the first Winter, you can live off of it for a few years. Ice Boxes are static structures players can place that will reduce spoilage rates by half. The Ice Box requires 2 Gold Nuggets, 1 Gear and 1 Board (or 1 Cut Stone in SW, HAM, RoG & DST) to prototype. The most common structure players will turn to when it comes to keeping your food nice and chilly is the Ice Box. The following are all of the things players can prototype to help reduce the speed at which food spoils. Although players will not need all of the methods available to keep food fresh, it’s a good idea to be aware of them as they can exponentially make the game easier to survive in. The first trick to keeping your food fresh is to keep it in structures or crafts that can extend their lifespan. A good idea is to always mix spoiling food with fresh food to balance out the difference, however, depending on how easy it is for you to get resources, this may not even be a problem for you.įood that spoils past a certain point will yield lower stats and in cases where players are using Wickerbottom, they will receive even fewer stats from foods that are rotting. Similarly, when foods are mixed together in a Crock Pot to make food, the result will often have gained freshness. On the flip side, if you’re in need of some nice juicy rot, cook your berries or various vegetables to speed up the spoilage rate. At that point, get to cooking to receive the most stats you can. What does that mean? Well, it means that you should leave your food raw until you’re ready to munch. Some foods, like the Deerclops Eyeball, have an unlimited spoilage rate, however, some foods like the Roasted Juicy Berries (DST) have a rapid spoilage rate of 1 day.ĭue to the way spoilage works, when raw resources are cooked over a Camp Fire, Fire Pit, or Willow’s Lighter the food will rot at a faster pace, however, it will also gain a bit of freshness. Each food, including the different types of vegetables, has a different spoilage rate. So, let’s get to talking about all of the ways players can ensure that they keep their food as fresh as possible while playing all versions of Don’t Starve.īefore we get to chatting about the methods you can use to reduce the amount of spoilage your food endures, it’s important to understand the mechanics behind spoilage. The reality is that there are a variety of methods of food preservation when it comes to playing Don’t Starve, but some methods take longer for players to get to, as they take more effort, especially if they require a Blueprint. Players will also want to become of the mechanics in the game, including the perk of food lasting double the length in the frigid Winter and disadvantage of food lasting half the length in the searing Summer. While it may have been easy to get around in your first year, once players begin exploring Caves or making their way to visit the Lunar Island, long lasting foods and foods with long spoilage times become imperative. There’s nothing worse than exploring The Constant in Don’t Starve only to find that all the food you were keeping in your inventory has turned into Rot. Since 1948, Goofus and Gallant, the stars of their eponymous comic strip in Highlights for Children magazine, have taught generations of kids the dos and don’ts of how to be. Goofus wants to give the first vaccines to rich and connected friends. But in another sense the characters sprang directly from the moral compass of society. The higher power that created them was Garry Cleveland Myers, who first wrote a version of the strip called “The G-Twins” at the magazine Children’s Activities, before he co-founded Highlights with his wife, Caroline Clark Myers. Their essential nature was preordained by a higher power long ago-Goofus forever doomed to be a screwup, Gallant to be a smug little do-gooder. In every issue, they play out a sort of Calvinist destiny. Goofus and Gallant are symbols more than characters. The boys are prepubescent, but their exact age is unclear, as is their relationship to each other … Are they twin brothers? Friends? The same kid in alternate universes? Or is it more of a Jekyll-and-Hyde situation? Phi vu 99910/29/2023 Kyle as a toddler, holding a bunny plush, possibly the model for Zero III. In addition, Kyle's consciousness would be integral to Akane and Sigma's mission. Kyle would also be a "spare" for Sigma, as Sigma could SHIFT into Kyle if his own body was damaged. Sigma's purpose for creating Kyle was in order to replicate an experience he saw decades in the future, among other necessary factors. Kyle was developed in the water tank on the wall of the laboratory of Rhizome 9. Kyle was born around 2052 and raised in Rhizome 9, where the only other person there was his father, Sigma Klim. Kyle was created in one of the water tanks on the left. He also attempted suicide in the control room by blowing up Rhizome 9 until Akane stopped him just in time before the events of VLR. Kyle also accepts the possibility of death, showing he is suicidal. Also in K END, Kyle essentially risks Phi's life by destroying Dio's bracelet just to test whether or not Zero Sr. These feelings can turn him into a murderer, as he murdered Dio in K END since Dio murdered Akane. This can also be referred to as an identity crisis. It is implied that the real Kyle Klim suffers from depression or an existential crisis, which is heightened when Akane Kurashiki dies, as well as finding out that he was brought into the world not to experience joy or pleasure, but for the purpose of being used for Zero Sr.'s experiment like a guinea pig. This is probably because Kyle's childhood was devoid of any fun or playful experiences as a result, he is somewhat socially awkward. Kyle has moments of childish impulses, such as jumping on a Zero III styled ride in the Rec Room and asking Sigma to make it operate. Speaking of which, Kyle is also physically strong in his armor he attacks Sigma twice in the game (once during an ending where Sigma tried to escape with 9 BP alone, and another time when he needed to force Sigma and Phi through a chromatic door despite their protestations in the Luna route). Additionally, during the Quark route, in order to prevent himself from being unable to choose Betray, Kyle knocks Alice out just so he can get 3 points to escape, although he claims he will find help. Kyle offers clever solutions and is very insightful and analytical on the state of affairs his tone of voice rarely ever escalates outside of extreme situations, and he refrains from directly insulting others unprovoked.ĭespite this, Kyle can be somewhat mischievous and selfish he often picks betray when he is not facing a living opponent with only 1 BP (he always picks Betray in round 1), and he tries to trick Sigma into picking Ally when he planned to pick Betray in his own route. Kyle, along with Luna and Akane, are the only major characters who never use profanity in Virtue's Last Reward. Throughout the Nonary Game, Kyle is extremely serious, pragmatic and straightforward - he and Luna are the only participants who rarely lose their temper. He has the tendency to think before he acts, but still ends up making some irrational decisions. Despite this, he is highly intelligent and methodical, and can usually perceive deceit. Kyle develops amnesia, leaving his personality somewhat detached, wanting to know who he is. While impersonating him in the Cyan routes, Akane Kurashiki replicates his personality in an almost perfect manner, as she has moments like this. Personality This section refers to the personality of Kyle Klim in the Yellow/Magenta routes. In K END, his face looks exactly like Sigma Klim's. The eyes on K's mask also change to reflect his mood, such as ◠_◠ when he is happy. Unlike everyone else, since K wears armor, his armor is fitted with the AB bracelet on his left hand, but it functions the same. His only clothing is a large red monk robe. I enjoyed it and gave it a 7 but it's about a 7.5.K wears robotic armor and his true appearance is unknown. By the end you can figure it all out but it isn't built up a block at a time. I've seen worse plots but the bones don't hold up the body to make it recognizable enough, at least for me. I'd like to say that's on purpose to add an element of mystery but I'm not real sure that's so. You can kind of follow it but the exposition makes you strain for it. Now for the Not as Good: The plot is there but it is ephemeral. That's the good, along with plenty of recognizable actors doing representative jobs with what they have to work with. After viewing, very few audience members would want to A: Become a police officer in Atlanta, B: Be tasked with arresting a gang member who knows you're coming. You felt like you were lined up with them. The police gang unit team line up to go after a gang member in group housing, up stairs and into the apartment was legendary. The good guys and bad guys are really blurred but that's a modern flick for you. Penn station menu hhts10/29/2023 You can see the latest Penn Station menu prices in the table below. It has been called "the world's first interactive drama series", since it was letting viewers vote on the outcome of each episode's ending. I can only hope that this drama is the start of many more British like it to come.11 November 2005 ( ) – June 2009 ( 2009-06)ĭubplate Drama is a UK television series which started in 2005. Dubplate Drama’s not only loved because of its spot-on depiction of issues young adults growing-up in the UK are sometimes surrounded by, but also because it‘s simply an addictive and enjoyable piece of drama to get stuck into. Being involved in the programme must have felt like filming Adulthood all over again. In fact, Clarke can also be seen playing the role of a Hostel manager in series 2 of Dubplate Drama. Both offer a raw, but realistic interpretation of what life can be like for young people growing-up in the UK. The drama is very similar to Noel Clarke’s film ‘Adulthood’. The message behind Dubplate Drama is very clear: sometimes we’ve got to make tough decisions in life, but it’s better to address them than push it to one side. On speaking to Flavour, Roger Griffiths who plays D-Brain, reflects on his own generation’s experiences of growing-up and says that back then ‘it wasn’t so drastic, we weren’t carrying as much weight on our shoulders’. It therefore works to educate those who aren’t really aware of why certain children and young adults may do things that aren‘t necessarily approved of. The drama is also sponsored by Childline, which aims to encourage young people to address certain issues they may be going through.Īlthough Dubplate Drama mainly speaks to young adults, it’s such an eye-opener on what’s actually going on today that even your mum would want to watch it. ‘The reason why Dubplate Drama works is because it’s based on reality’ says Wretch 32. From the start, the programme has always offered thought-provoking storylines and has featured various music artists such as Ms Dynamite. It’s popularity and the support it received was what led it to be on our TV screens today. It’s hard to believe that a television drama which is aired to thousands of people across the country, started-out as mainly only being accessible on mobile phones. There were also cameo’s from Donaoe, Wretch 32 and other well-established names from the UK music scene who gave a brief performance of ‘Let it out’, a song presented in association with Dubplate Drama and Childline. N-Dubz singer Tulisa Contostavalos who plays Laurissa, a drug-addicted victim of domestic violence, is also no stranger to her character and tells Flavour how she herself experienced being ’drawn-in and controlled’ by someone she loved when she was younger. Not to mention a few new faces such as Charles Mnene and Issac Ssebandeke who plays Devil and Millz, respectively. You can also expect to see appearances from Jay Sean to Tim Westwood in the third series. And up until series 3 got released, and you got voting, not even the Dubplate creators knew where all of this was going. In series 2 we saw Dionne, played by Shystie, facing tough decisions as to whether or not she should keep her unborn baby, Bones played by Adam Deacon gets brutally attacked and dies and Hoodman who plays Warren gets hit over the head with a vodka bottle by Bones’ mum. So, at the end of each episode, the viewers vote on what happens next. That’s because Dubplate Drama is ‘the world’s first interactive drama’. Strangely enough, it’s not up to the writer’s as to how the plot unfolds, but the viewers. Throughout the drama, the characters are constantly being faced with a range of dilemmas from drug issues, to unplanned pregnancies, domestic violence and assault. They all want to make it big in the music business, but there are always obstacles to overcome. Dubplate Drama follows the life of a group of young adults determined to become successful in the music industry. Round bale hay feeder10/28/2023 Because hay (and money) was saved with the use of any type of small square bale feeder, the feeders paid for themselves between 9-12 months. Another study at the University of Minnesota ( read more) found that when hay was fed in small square bale feeders (such as basket, slat, and bunk feeders), less hay wastage occurred (1-5% wastage) compared to when horses were fed hay on the ground (13%). When hay was fed in a ring feeder, only 5.5% of the hay was wasted, but when the hay was fed without a ring feeder, about 35% of the hay was wasted. More details about this study are available on the University of Minnesota website. A similar horse study was conducted at Sam Houston State University with round bales and ring feeders (a specific type of round bale feeder). Furthermore, financially the feeders paid for themselves in 1-20 months when the amount of hay that would have been lost without the use of the feeder was considered. When the bales were fed on the ground, researchers found that 57% of the hay was wasted, compared with 5-33% hay waste when using different types of hay feeders. Nine different commercial round bale feeders were all found to reduce hay waste when compared to round bales fed directly on the ground. A study conducted at the University of Minnesota found that using round bale feeders results in significantly less hay wasted by horses. One major benefit to using a hay feeder is that it reduces the amount of hay lost due to waste. Hay Feeder Use and Benefits Wastage and Economic Loss Small bale free-choice style feeder (basket feeder). Large bale free-choice style feeder (Hay Hut). Hay feeders can typically be bought from livestock equipment dealers. Sometimes a hay net will be combined with a free choice feeder to slow the rate of eating and reduce hay waste at the same time. Some are considered "slow feeders" because the horse can only grab a small amount of hay with each bite, and some are considered "free choice" feeders which provides the horse more access to the hay and allows them to take as much as they wish. There are feeders designed to feed small quantities of hay and feeders designed to feed whole bales (ranging from small square bales to large round bales). Hay feeders come in many different shapes and sizes and range in price between $150-$3,200 (2021 prices). It is generally suggested that horses have access to forage 24/7, so hay feeders can play a key role in ensuring your horse has constant access to hay. What is a hay feeder?įorage is an important component of a horse's diet and thus a large portion of their diet may consist of hay. This statistic indicates that many equines in Pennsylvania may be wasting a significant proportion of the hay they are given. The results of this project revealed that on average 56% of equids are fed their hay on the ground and not in a hay feeder. In 2020, Penn State researchers from the Animal Science Department developed an online survey to characterize how horses in Pennsylvania are managed. AuthorWrite something about yourself.
